Goddess...I am sooooooooooooooooo drunk right now...and with good reason. It has been one Hell of a looooooooooooooong day, including 15 chair massages and two full body massages (that translates to 7 1/2 HOURS of doing massage for all you layfolk); PLUS...a lengthy schlep deep into the environs of Boston's North End for the finest Italian cuisine (translation: fresh tomato, onion, and basil salad with balsamic vinegar; penne with chicken and broccoli and decadent cream sauce; lobster ravioli with more of the aforesaid cream sauce; and flan) for my Sweetie and I tonight; dealing with aggresive stupidity along the way (it is truly a wonder that at least 73 people did not meet an untimely death as I made my way among them, extremely tired, grumpy, and badly in need of cocktails, wine, appetizers, entrees, and desert); and ending up spending considerably more than I should have at that damnably alluring liquor store en route (the Chambord promo package with the two fabulous stemware glasses having the cobalt blue accent just beneath each stem were simply unlawfully irresistible), not to mention the fact that the aforesaid liquor purchase required even more investment than previously anticipated as the fucking promo box just HAD to have a recipe for a cocktail involing yet more precious ingredients i.e. vodka (Abslout Citron of course...why even consider anything of lesser quality?) and "sparkling water" to complete the effect, i.e. the filler factor. Needless to say, when I got home with all the goodies, and his glorious Donfulness discovered the extent to which measures had been taken to ensure a quality, in-home dining experience for us, a most pleasant evening ensued. Note: to his fabulous credit, Don had prepared roasted garlic with rosemary and olive oil along with marinated, grilled fresh portobello mushrooms, and fresh locally baked Mediterranean olive bread as the main part of the appetizer portion of our meal...is it any wonder that I said, "Yes" on the beach at sunset on Fire Island last July? I mean, what idiot would dare say "No?" *sigh* What an incredible waking dream, :-P.

So anyway...it has been an evening of decadent dining (duh) and cocktails...along with two bottles of truly great wine (a delightful Chilean chardonnay followed by a richly smooth California syrah), Jiminy Glick, and Southpark on Comedy Central, with some home improvement show which Don is currently viewing while I log this entry.

That's pretty much it folks. Thanks for indulging the drunken, late night ramblings of this crazy queen, :-).

Good night all,

David

P.S.

Whew!!! What a FULL day! And my sweetie has just emerged from viewing the telly to suggest that we complete our evening of bougie celebration with a bit more Chambord....unadulterated...as a sort of Grand Finale, :-). *taking a sip of the aforementioned cordial* Ooooohhhh!! How utterly Fabulous!
