Doldrums of the Soul
May. 8th, 2002 09:25 amThis morning finds me tired from lack of proper sleep due to having too much on my mind recently. Thank the Goddess for Don, family, and friends, and yes, even my work. At times like these I just want to be carried, hence the featured icon for this entry. Life has been particularly intense of late, with both of us needing a decent break, *sigh*. If I could do exactly what I want to today, I would go into work for a massage and then spend the remainder of the day in quiet repose, perhaps having a bit of lunch at one of our favorite outside cafes in the area, and reflecting on how best to move forward AFTER the appropriate and much needed respite. Yesterday, I intended to look into the cards for some input, but things worked out differently. I did, however, end the day with some excellent reading in "Tarot Celebrations" about the Empress and the Emperor cards, the first being one of my cards for this year...very encouraging.
Anyway, resilience being one of my hallmarks, I am sure I'll get through this all just fine. In the meanwhile, I'll simply embrace the experience for what it is.
Quote for the day: "All sunshine and no rain makes a desert."
