Life Is Complicated

eduncan, I am listing the reasons for the title of this post. Comments are definitely invited.
1. I am engaged to the most awesome man...someone I never imagined in my wildest dreams.
2. This country is apparently being dragged into a war which amounts to nothing more than a pissing contest by an idiot who can't even piss that well.
3. An entire class of American citizens is STILL discriminated against LEGALLY simply because of who we are. When are we ever going to forthrightly evolve as a society?
4. There is a really cool and diverse pool of friends here on LJ who provide a unique connection to the outside world, entertainment, shared joys and sorrows, and the stuff of life in general.
5. I am on the verge of yet another birthday and wonder where I'm going next as far as vocational path...independent practice? Reiki Teacher certification and subsequent teaching? Other forms of bodywork training/certification?
6. We have officially set a date for our wedding next year.
7. We are having way too much fun with our new dvd player. Vidiots we are.
8. The enticing aroma of homemade bread regularly wafts through our home.
9. I worry about my mom's health as her memory seems to be degenerating...an unusual thing at her age given the family's genetic disposition to longevity.
10. A fresh burst of intense dreamtime activity has unexpectedly emerged in my life recently.
11. eBay is the ultimate bringer of materialistic corruption and I am one of its myriad devotees.
12. The Goddess continues to show me things about myself, Her, and my place in the scheme of things.
13. There are times when I don't want to wait to marry Don...only because I'm afraid of what the next day/week/month may bring in view of what's happening in our world. Even though our love is solid and we are growing ever closer, I would like to be certain that should anything calamitous happen, I can always hold him in my heart as "Husband," rather than "fiance."
