Birthday Extravaganza!

Don's fabulous birthday gift arrived today! I sooooooo badly want to reveal what it is but can't until he opens it...tomorrow. Ohhhhhh the anticipation! And Saturday we are being accompanied by our dear friend John to Cindy's place for an overnight celebration with her and Michele. We do a double celebration every year as Cindy and Don's birthdays are both in May.

And our Litha shrine is in place. Wow! We've done some great shrines but this one...well...just blows ne away. It positively shouts "High Marriage!"

Add to all that finishing off the last of some very yummy AND healthful eggplant parmesan ala Weight Watchers, some good red wine, and an evening together with my hubby, and...you get the picture.

*big contented sigh*

I simply bask in the pleasure of it all, :-)

We obviously need to emphasize education among the young and the public in general in order to fend off such sheer idiocy in other court proceedings and such.

I have hesitated to say this for a long time now but given the alarming increase of such "judgments," and other incidents of similarly disturbing quality it appears that this may all be leading up to one thing:

the Second American Revolution.

The right wing extremists keep getting bolder and more blatantly aggressive...even to the point of open hostility...with every little (real or perceived) thing in their favor. With all this in place it would not surprise me that, unless some drastic legitimate measures are taken, another civil war in this country is in the making...this time fueled by religious fanatics who use their "faith" to justify a forced theocracy on the whole populace. And capitol punishment would be the official order of the day for anyone who dissents. Very scary sounding but enough to make emigration more appealing every day.
