Whew! So much has happened lately. I began the delicate process of reconnecting with my kids this week as their birthdays are coming up. They were all psyched when I informed them that I was planning on visiting them in Michigan next year. And my youngest, so sweet, when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday said, "I like everything you send me, Papa." Needless to say, she is getting the new vidoe game her brother told me she is crazy about. *sigh* The day is coming when everything will be set right with them.

As for work, on Wednesday was my monthly meeting with management where we discussed...no...debated the whole meal break mess. They STILL don't get it. And I informed them that there are laws about this...to no avail. Friday my schedule included no lunch break whatsoever and they filled the day with appointments...not even bothering to consult with me as to whether I'd had a break or wanted one. So I quietly saved the printed schedule and started the documentation which will be submitted along with my letter of complaint to the Labor Board. They may not listen to me but they have no choice when it comes to the Labor Board.

A lot of time and effort went into research this week as well as I am studying to advance on our Path. Lots of interesting side paths of research have cropped up in the process which can lead to further study later. I have made it my goal to finish everything by Mabon as I NEED to move forward before the Wheel turns yet again at Samhain. It's kind of neat how certain things are beginning to be defined by Sabbats and other celebrations with regard to timing. It certainly has provided a growing connection/awareness of such things as nature, seasonal and lunar/solar celebrations, energy patterns/rhythms as they dance and play off each other, and our place in it all as we turn with the Wheel.

Speaking of celebrations we are attending Don's boss's wedding today. He and his partner have been together for twenty-six years and we are delighted that now they are able to finally enjoy the legal benefits of their commitment to each other. We were honored to have them at our wedding in June and we are honored to be in attendance at theirs today. Go George and Seth!

Top all this off with New Moon tonight and this makes for a FULL week. Tomorrow is set aside for running a couple of brief errands and then spending the rest of the day relaxing and playing...very much needed after the previous week's activities.
