Pre-work Update
Jun. 18th, 2002 12:02 pmThe windows are open to the beautiful day outside, lively music is playing, lunch is forthcoming, blah, blah, blah, ;-). I am sitting here in eager anticipation of our trip to New York for the Tarot Festival this weekend. We are both sooooooooooooo psyched! We have planned this for over a year now and are happily looking forward to meeting with our favorite Tarot folk, participating in the various workshops and...FINALLY having at least THREE DAYS totally to ourselves! Yay! We soooooooo deserve this! We'll be leaving Friday morning, arriving that afternoon, and enjoying a romantic dinner alone in one of the city's fabulous restaurants (suggestions anyone?) that evening after the initial festivities. The conference is taking place at the Marriott La Guardia...a brief shuttle ride from the airport.
On another similar note, our travel arrangements for the rest of the year are also pretty much in place. One of Don's sisters recently got engaged (insert wild cheering here) and is getting married this November in Dallas. We are flying into Oklahoma City and spending time with my family in that area first, then flying to Dallas for the wedding, and finally flying back to visit my family again before returning home. Translation: we are each meeting each other's families for the first time over a 5-day period during which a wedding is taking place. Now given how intense Don's family is (his story to tell), a growing horde of butterflies has launched a migratory flight in my stomach and their ultimate destination remains to be determined. We're both going to survive intact, but it is without a doubt that there will be stories from this visit which will be told for years to come, :-).
That's all for now LJ friends and public. More on other stuff later as events unfold.
Blessings and Light,
David
