Dream Reading

vervain13I had a very intense dream while napping this afternoon. I found myself above an ocean at night heading west. It felt like I was over the Atlantic Ocean and that this was an important journey. It also felt like I wasn't very far in the journey...perhaps less than a hundred miles. Suddenly, I decided to go into the water (I don't know why). I descended and dove in, surfacing in black waves topped with dull white foam underneath a dark gray sky. I then felt a strong sense of foreboding...as though I was going to fall asleep in the water and not make it to the other side. It was at this point that I awoke. Finding the dream imagery very disturbing, I did a Tarot reading to see what would come up. The following cards were drawn sequentially:
1. The Moon (reversed)
2. The High Priestess
3. Four of Pentacles
4. Ace of Wands (reversed)
It is rare that I have dreams at all...especially of this intensity. More often than not, there is a definite symbolic message involved.
