Coming Out Of The Doldrums

vervain13Greetings LJ friends and public. I know it's been awhile since I've posted and some of you have been quietly and gently reminding me of this. Thank you for your attention and concern.
This past summer has proved to be a much needed exercise in patience. During most of the season, my book stayed open most of the time with an occassional trickle of clients. Thankfully that is now past and my book is now full far more often than open.
Don has now begun his graduate work at the BU School of Public Health and a new position at New England Research Institutes as a Senior Research Associate. His post graduate goals are are a Master of Science and Doctorate in epidemiology with a focus in biostatistics. He is genuinely excited about school and work and I revel in his happiness with these things. Recently, while sharing this with a coworker, he replied with, "That's all fine for him, but where does this leave you?" And there is another part of the reason for the doldrums through which I've been going the past few weeks. Bottom line: at the earliest opportunity, I'm going to continue my education in bodywork modalities with specific focus on full reflexology (feet, hands, ears), craniosacral therapy, and finally completing my Reiki training to become a Reiki Teacher. In the meanwhile, the focus will be on building my current practice toward the goal of creating the resources for more education.
Last but not least, a number of wake-up calls with regard to health have placed me in the position of having to re-evalute my overall state and just plain take better care of myself. This includes dietary changes, regular exercise, and attention to emotional/mental/spiritual matters as well. To borrow a phrase from my childhood, "The old gray mare, she ain't what she used to be."
But there is still plenty of wind left in my sails, :-).
