Good Times & Blessings
Oct. 7th, 2002 08:56 pmYesterday turned out to be such a beautiful day that we simply could not remain inside. Initially we were going to stay home, but the weather provided just the right incentive to get out. Off we went to Harvard Square in Cambridge in search of various and sundry goodies, oblivious to what lay in store. Upon arriving at the Square, we discovered to our delight that a full scale street festival was in swing! Yippee! First we took care of refueling at the local Au Bon Pain (the one where we spent part of our first date) and then off to the Garage, an old parking garage remodeled into a shopping center...really cool. There Don got his first tattoo ever...a beautiful Om symbol done in dark purple on his right shoulder blade. After finishing there, we ventured back out into the festival. Within minutes, I found a beautiful Indian sarong which is just perfect as my new altar cloth. The price was the best part: $13. Imagine that...thirteen dollars for thirteen Moons, :-). Go figure. Continuing onward, we made our way through the crowds, stopping at all kinds of booths with incredible artwork for sale,*sigh*, gathering vendor business cards, and anticipating gifts for the holidays. Finally we headed back to Porter Square here in Somerville for a couple of much needed beers at a local pub. Ahhhhhhh...there's just something incredible about Pumkin Ale this time of year...yummy, :-). After one final stop at the grocery store, we cabbed it home where we feasted on basil pesto primavera pizza and Columbia Crest Cabernet Savignon. All in all, it was a superb day.
