As it's that time of year again, Don and I are both reflecting on the year past, the year ahead, and where we are spiritually, vocationally, and otherwise. Sunday we took a day trip into Salem where we had a great time preparing for Samhain (Halloween for any non-Pagan folk). Both of us had Tarot readings as a starting point for the visit there followed by shopping and lunch, interwoven with catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and dealing with the vast throngs of tourists, kids, and TONS of witchy wannabes,*rolling eyes*. Our good friend Akuura, of Aroma Sanctum, provided us with a purification bath gel for our entry into the coming year and some way awesome fragrances to wear as well. Don got Blue Nile and I got Watermint. These and other fine products made by her are available through her at http://www.aromasanctum.com. We left Salem, tired and pleased with a day well spent. Arriving home, we feasted on a delicious crockpot dish made with butternut squash, lentils, leeks, and spices that Don had prepared and left cooking before we left that morning. Both of us are focusing on further personal growth and investigating new ideas and directions concerning the Path ahead. It would appear that we are due to experience more "coming into our own," in the next year. We are both excited about these things and look forward to seeing them unfold.
