It's My Birthday :-)

After fighting a bug the past week, it seems I'm finally winning. Today I enjoyed a leisurely morning before travelling via rail to get a nice, loooooooooooooooooooong massage from one of my colleagues. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...it was wonderful! Afterward, I enjoyed a light lunch in a local diner and then hopped the train back into Boston. Schlepping home, I stopped briefly for some fresh limes to help keep my electrolytes balanced while toxins flush from my system as a benefit of the massage. Once home, I quickly got a loaf of bread started(kneading as I type this) and got a load of dishes washing as well. The doorbell then rang and it was that hot little UPS guy delivering our new mattress pad for our new bed which arrived Monday. Before settling in online, I called my best friend on our new phone and left her a return message as she had called with birthday wishes earlier. So now here I sit, with the warm sunlight pouring in through our frontroom window, Etta Jones singing sultry blues in the background, and feeling very thankful for the years past and the years unfolding before me. And to think that the celebration is yet to be finished, :-). There's a smile on my face just thinking about it. Life is good.
