Amidst All The Chaos

vervain13We still manage to live life and live it well.
Yesterday we spent the day in Salem doing the following:
1. having brunch with a really cool Christian couple who are friends with educated hearts
2. shopping for and acquiring all kinds of really cool Witchy stuff...some were needed supplies like herbs, candles, and such, while other goodies included a new custom fragrance for Don and some new teas
Initially we arrived in town early enough to spend some time walking through Don's old neighborhood and giving some measured thought to the possibility of moving there when we are ready to buy a home...the pull was SO strong. We also had time both at the beginning and end of our day there to drop by the Front Street Coffee Shop for some much appreciated refreshment and a bit of chat with the owner and an employee( I swear, I thought that twenty something was actually flirting with a "mature" queen like me, ;-P). We enjoyed the train ride there and back, arriving home with all our new purchases and eager to put them to good use. The rest of the evening was spent enjoying a quiet dinner with some good wine and reading before retiring happily to bed. It's times like these which, when remembered, help us get through the occassional rough spots life has to offer.
