An Overdue Update

Truth be told, we have been sucked into the evil vortex of Diablo II and have been having a wondrous time there...hence my absence. It is my sincere hope that all are well as I have not been keeping up with posts and such. Our summer is going delightfully well...Don's academic progress is continuing on its upwardly mobile course...my practice continues to grow and thrive...and this week we celebrate three terrific years together! WOO!HOO! :-). We are going to an upscale restaurant for the anniversary dinner and, I would reveal it here, but it's a surprise, ;-). He knows we're going somewhere...just not exactly where, ;-).
Last night we went on a Boston harbor cruise hosted by the Fenway Community Health Center in celebration of the completion of the Explore! study. (The study was conducted over the course of three and a half years throughout six cities with 4300 volunteers. The purpose of the study was to determine the impact of behavioural counseling on the spread of HIV among men who have sex with men and I was both privileged and honored to be a part of this tremendous effort in the continuing fight against AIDS). We boarded the cruise ship around 6:30, cast off at 7:00, and Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride was underway, :-). Throughout the evening we enjoyed cocktails, meeting some new people (including the Principle Investigator of Explore!), running into an "interesting" person from Don's past...more on that from him...if he so chooses in a post in his LJ, ;-), and watching the city from the view on the deck. We had a great time and stopped for champagne en route to home where we refreshed ourselves as it chilled and then settled in for a little comedy tv before slipping into blissful, champagne-induced sleep. Ahhhh...Life is good, :-).
