A Long Overdue Update

vervain13Yeeshk! Where'd the time go? I felt so lame when I discovered my last post was last November! *smacks self* Anyway, Spring is FINALLY here and the wedding draws nearer on the horizon every day. There have been some significant changes since last November...notably our involvement with a local group of likeminded Pagans (crazy and fun group they are) and the rapid downward spiral of conditions at work.
We made our initial contact with our new friends via the infamous web and formed a fast and close bond...you know...the whole "birds of a feather" thing, ;-). We've enjoyed numerous celebrations together i.e. New Moons and Sabbats and eagerly anticipate what lies ahead. We will also be celebrating our Handfasting with them and our close friends this June when we get married. It simply feels great to be a part of a group where we can learn and contribute and add a whole new dimension of wonder and excitement to our lives.
With regard to work...I am sooooooooooooo fed up. Conditions have eroded to a continual state of gross dysfunction, major codependent behaviour, and petty favoritism. As of present I am gathering letters of recommendation and upgrading my resume in preparation for actively pursuing work elsewhere as soon as the current Mercury retrograde is over. I'm especially interested in teaching...and not necessarily massage either...even though that greatly appeals to me. *sigh* Oh well. It'll all work out. It just sucks to be in this situation. I thank the Gods for my wonderful relationship and our new friends. Without those in place I'd be coming apart at the seams about now.
Latest wedding news: despite the desparate actions of the Massachusetts governor and his ilk, same sex marriage WILL begin as of May 17th...a fact in which we take great pleasure, :-). Rings have been purchased, invitations have been mailed, doctor's appointments for the blood tests have been made, robes are being made, the ceremony has been written, the wedding party is being kept up-to-date as to developments, rehearsal and dinner arrangements are in place, and we joyously await the day, :-).
