Twilight For My Sister
Jan. 11th, 2005 03:22 pmLate this morning I received a call from my oldest sister, Peggy, that Debi had been hospitalized and that Mom was on her way to the hospital to meet them there. This morning Debi had a really bad pain episode and her meds didn't help at all. Additionally she was having great difficulty breathing. Peggy's voice was understandably shaky and she said she would keep me posted as things develop. With all that in place I have begun preparations to head that way at a moment's notice as it's looking more like sooner rather than later. I've made all the calls to everyone who absolutely had to be called and asked that this information be passed along to those who need it. So now I will get back to doing laundry and packing and taking care of anything else I can think of in this state. The candle on Debi's shrine is lit and another candle, reserved for special purposes, is lit as well. Even in the quiet intensity of it all I feel supported, strengthened, and loved.
