Never Ending Thirst

vervain13In the process of LJ "interests" surfing this morning, I came across an interest in the film, "Contact" starring Jodie Foster. Having just seen it for the first time this year, I am all too poignantly reminded of how infantile our "scientific" methods and perceptions about reality are. I visited the official movie site which opens with a soundbyte of the signal from space as featured in the film. It gave me both chills and thrills just thinking of the possibilities. A couple of quotes best sum up my feelings at present:
